Deposit information: One half of the facility use fee shall be paid upon reservation of use with the remainder balance due two weeks prior to the event. No refunds will be issued.

  • There is a minimum of 12 participants for challenge course groups. We do not allow children under the age of 12 on the ropes courses.
  • Groups scheduled for the ropes course need to arrive at their scheduled time. Groups who arrive late in teh excess of 1 hour may forfeit their day on the course.
  • A final count is needed on the number of participants for the ropes course prior to 7 days of the scheduled event date. Your invoice will be based on the given number.
  • Each group is required to complete the Reservation Confirmation Agreement and submit a $50.00 deposit (non-refundable) at least 10 days before requested use.
  • Partial refunds will be given if notified within 48 hours before scheduled use.
  • Should weather not permit use, a full refund will be given.
  • All fees for reservations are due after services are rendered. An invoice will be mailed the week following your event. It is recommended that outstanding balances be paid within 2 weeks of receiving notice.
  • Insurance: It is our policy that you present a certificate of insurance upon arrival for our records.
  • Release Forms: Each participant must submit an OWL Release of Liability form and an OWL Health Statement upon arrival for our records.

OWL RULES AND GUIDELINES

  • Every guest must sign a release of liability when participating in any activity on the property-a health question form is also required when participating in the Challenge Ropes course.
  • Guest are responsible for their own actions-MCH is relieved from any liability incurred.
  • Alcohol, tobacco products (cigarettes) and illegal drugs are forbidden anywhere on the property.
  • No one is allowed to use the challenge course, canoes/paddle boats, or maze without an OWL staff member that has been trained in that specific area.
  • When using the pond for boating/canoeing a certified lifeguard must be present- If You are providing your own lifeguard we must have a copy of their current certification otherwise OWL staff will provide a lifeguard. Lifejackets (which are provided) are required for every participant who is swimming, boating, canoeing.
  • Fishing equipment is provided and must be requested before use-it must also be returned in an organized manner to the fishing shed.
  • Firearms are only allowed when an individual is participating in an approved scheduled event.
  • Guest must follow all Wildlife and Fishery rules and regulations in addition to the OWL rules when fishing or hunting.
  • Vehicles are to remain on roadways and parking areas only. No vehicles are to be taken on the Challenge Course. Bikes may be used on appropriate trails.
  • All gates must be left as they are found.
  • Guests are responsible for picking up trash, washing used dishes, and cleaning any and all facilities used-There will be a $50 clean up fee if facility is not left in appropriate condition.
  • Before leaving facility be sure all lights/fans are turned off and all doors are closed.
  • Anything that is found broken or in need of replacement should be reported to an OWL staff.
  • Fines will be assessed for any broken or damaged equipment.
  • Candles are not permitted in any buildings.
  • Campfires are only allowed in designated areas and must be approved by an OWL staff member-Before leaving (or going to bed) fires must be doused or put out with water.
  • Field equipment is provided in the outside storage closet and must be requested before use-Equipment must also be returned and placed in an organized manner in the equipment shed.
  • In case of an emergency a telephone is located in the kitchen in the main pavilion. Emergency numbers and driving directions are also posted at the bunkhouse, pond, and main pavilion.
